Early Interventionist - Charleston Office
I completed my undergraduate degree at East Tennessee State University with a bachelors in Early Childhood Development and my Masters in Education- Special Education, with a concentration in Child Life and Family Studies at University of North Carolina Charlotte. I have worked at HeadStart locations in Tennessee as well as a speech and language clinic for children with developmental disabilities. I have always really enjoyed working with children. During undergrad I started to think about my career options outside of teaching. That is when I decided I would rather work in a position that helped children in more of a one on one setting. Originally, planning on pursuing a career in Speech Pathology, I then learned more about early intervention and decided that was better for me. I am originally from Canton, North Carolina. A very small town right outside of Asheville! I lived in Johnson City, Tennessee for 5 years and then Charlotte, North Carolina. I moved to Charleston and I am looking forward to my time here! In my free time I really enjoy reading, running, walking my dog, travelling or going to the beach. I also love hiking when I am home in the mountains. Anything where I can spend time with my family and friends!
