Early Interventionist - Midlands Office
I graduated from Wofford College in May 2017 where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. While in school, I began practicing ABA therapy with kids who are affected by autism. I really enjoyed working with kids and I have always known that my career path would be focused on helping children. My work in ABA inspired my senior thesis and final research in ABA where I focused on learning processes in skill acquisition and how to reduce prompt dependency. After graduating from college and getting married, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia where I continued to practice 1:1 ABA therapy in a clinical setting. I enjoyed my work in Atlanta very much but when the opportunity came for my husband and I to move back home to South Carolina, I began to search for ways to help families affected by special needs in a more natural setting. I am so happy to have joined the team at Bright Start and to have the opportunity to help impact the lives of not only children, but their whole family. I enjoy using current research, sensory integration techniques, feedback from families, and creativity to brainstorm solutions to help families achieve their goals. My husband and I are so happy to be back in South Carolina and I am looking forward to serving the greater Columbia community!
