Early Intervention Supervisor - Midlands Office
I have had a love for children for as long as I can remember. As a child and teenager, I helped my mom in the church nursery on Sundays and loved to babysit regularly. I also loved learning about family structures and dynamics and knew that I wanted to combine these two things in some way. After graduating from Anderson University with a degree in Psychology and Human Services, I was introduced to Early Intervention. I had not heard of Early Intervention before, but immediately fell in love with the idea of it all. I began working as an Early Interventionist and loved being a part of families lives by assisting them to reach their goals and to provide them with numerous resources in the community. I decided to teach preschool for two years and, although I loved teaching and working with children, I missed the family interaction. I also realized, more than ever, how much of a love I have in working with families who have children with developmental delays. I began working at Bright Start shortly thereafter, and what a joy it has been to be back in the homes and communities of families - working alongside them to help their children grow and develop. It is wonderful to be a part of the Bright Start family, where everyone has such a love and passion for these children and families!
