Emily Timms

Early Interventionist - Upstate Office

I have a BA in Child Development and Family Studies with a Concentration in Child Advocacy Studies from the University of South Carolina Upstate. I have several years of experience in the field of early childhood and children with special needs. My journey began my Sophomore year in college as I was placed as a practicum teacher for the preschool-kindergarten classroom at The South Carolina School for the Blind. This experience sparked a passion for children with special needs and first hand I was able to see the importance of early intervention services. Soon, I served as a Kids Program Specialist, Two-year-old teacher, and previously an ABA Therapist. Having the opportunity to work an array of jobs in the field of early childhood and children with special needs only instilled a new passion advocating for all children. I want all children to succeed and be given an opportunity to reach their full potential. I am devoted to making a positive impact in this field as my experiences have prepared me best to advocate for each child and their families. I am truly excited to work alongside families to foster growth and development and “helping all families today, reach for goals for tomorrow.”
