Early Interventionist - Midlands Office
My name is Kayla Washington, and I am an Early Interventionist! I am from the sunny state of Florida where I grew up playing softball and stayed active in community service clubs. I started my education at Indian River State College where I studied Health Science and played ball. I transferred to Columbia International University in 2018 where I continued my softball career and finished my B.A. in Psychology. I graduated in the year 2020 and struggled to find out what I could and wanted to do. I was blessed to be connected to serve an amazing family and their daughter. In such a confusing time, that experience made it clear that I wanted to work with children. Since then, I have continued to be their childcare aide and found a family here in South Carolina. I have worked as a Registered Behavior Technician and as a Pre-School teacher. In these experiences, the common theme was I loved was seeing my little friends achieve their milestones and sharing that excitement with the families. I am so excited to be a part of a team that serves the children and their families well.
