My name is Michelle, James and I was born 55 years ago in New York, NY. Some would say that I am the baby of the bunch or the last of the Mohegan. I say I am the black swan. Raised in the inner city of Miami Florida, I attended high school at Miami Edison Senior high. After graduating I set my sight on working, however my mother would not allow it to be she insisted that I get an education. Thank God for mom she pushed me and it more than enhanced my life. Initially, upon entering college, I studied criminal justice, and received my bachelors of arts. Continuing my education, I studied and received a masters of science in exceptional student education with a concentration in reading. My doctoral studies were done at Saint Thomas university with a concentration in educational leadership, and management. After many years of working in the special education field as case manager, and special education teacher, I have joined the Bright Start family in an effort to continue to provide excellent service to the community. I am a newlywed, mother of three children and grandmother to one grandchild. At this juncture in life I am happy and satisfied with every decision that I have made specifically when it comes to Bright-start.
