Early Interventionist - Midlands Office

I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be an educator. Finishing college at Carson-Newman College in elementary education, my goals shifted to children, families and ministry. I changed fields to children’s ministry and completed a Masters’ program. In this process, I fell in love with toddlers! While serving as a Preschool Minister I started my first childcare program for working parents. I felt so at home helping parents with the educational and developmental needs of their children. This became my long-term career. In recent years, I became drawn to children who needed some extra guidance and to parents with questions and concerns about the development of their child. Finding Bright Start was my answer to ‘what to do’ for these families and children. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, gardening and crafting. I am a mom of 2 boys who are all grown up. Being a native of Miami and living most of my life in Florida, relocating to Columbia gave me the right amount of seasonal changes that I was longing to see. My 30+ years in the early childhood field has given me numerous reasons to love what I do. I am excited about my career shift and ready to serve families and continue to love on more children as an Early Interventionist with the Bright Start family.
